The Las Vegas Bulls secured a 20-13 victory over the Seattle Rainiers on Sunday, pushing their unbeaten streak to 10 games in the 1999 regular season. Under head coach Jason Burton, the Bulls improved to 10-0 overall and 5-0 in the division, moving further ahead in the standings. The Rainiers slipped to 5-5 and are now 2-2 in division play.

The game began with the Bulls asserting early control. Quarterback Garry Griggs connected with tight end David Marcus for a 7-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter. Michael Thomas successfully kicked the extra point, giving Las Vegas a 7-0 lead. Seattle responded with a 58-yard field goal by Miguel Dias, cutting the deficit to 7-3.

In the second quarter, Griggs found wide receiver Morris Whitford for a 2-yard touchdown run. Thomas converted the extra point, extending the Bulls' lead to 14-3. Just before halftime, Thomas added a 39-yard field goal, increasing the lead to 17-3.

Seattle began their comeback attempt in the third quarter with a 48-yard field goal by Dias, narrowing the score to 17-6. However, the Bulls defense held firm, limiting the Rainiers to just one touchdown on the day.

Las Vegas running back James Sotelo was a standout performer, rushing 34 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Griggs completed 28 of 38 passes for 216 yards and two scores but had two interceptions. David Marcus and Morris Whitford contributed significantly in the passing game with 60 and 2 receiving yards respectively, both with touchdowns.

Seattle's offense was led by 18 completions on 27 attempts for 195 yards and one passing touchdown. Their rushing game was less effective, totaling only 27 yards. Wide receiver Stanley Vazquez led the receiving corps with 69 yards. The Rainiers defense applied pressure with one sack and forced two fumbles, recovering three, but could not contain the Bulls’ attack enough to overtake the lead.

Defensively, the Bulls recorded five sacks and intercepted the ball twice, aiding their cause. Linebacker James Cone contributed one sack and forced a fumble. The game featured disciplined play with minimal penalties—Seattle had two for 20 yards and Las Vegas had three for 30 yards.

This win maintains the Bulls' division dominance and perfect record, with head coach Burton continuing to lead a balanced and effective team on both sides of the ball. Seattle, coached by Allen McCormick, will look to rebound as they remain in third place in the division.

The Bulls will aim to keep their unbeaten run alive as they push toward a potential playoff berth, while the Rainiers strive to improve consistency in their upcoming matchups.
