Yes, you're right. I've seen them in bountiful amounts and hardly remember them in previous versions.
I think it's just another 'bad result' to try and counter having offenses over-powered. (like the harried QB throws and all the trash-talking commentary about wobbly passes) lol
Probably a result of the DBs actually being more likely to be in position to commit the penalties. I'll have to do a study on the frequency and see if it is too high.
shouldn't there be an equal or even more amount of defensive pass interference calls since that's more realistic? I see tons of PI's on defenders but only rarely on the wide receiver (in NFL)

I'm sure it's a probability calculation that needs adjustment. I might do a study, that's one that I haven't really done much with since the original calculations were written.
